YSRC retaliates, to seek disqualification of TDP

Three days after Telugu Desam Party president and former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu submitted a petition with President of India Ramnath Kovind seeking imposition of President’s Rule in Andhra Pradesh, the YSR Congress party sought to turn tables on him.

Naidu made a hue and cry in New Delhi alleged that there is a complete deterioration of law and order under the regime of Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in Andhra Pradesh and it called for imposition of President’s Rule in the state by invoking Article 356.

He also asked the President to direct the Central government to order a CBI inquiry into the alleged vandalism by the YSRC leaders and cadre on the TDP offices and leaders last week, besides a comprehensive probe into the alleged ganja trade in the state.

Within three days, the YSRC leaders have started retaliating. On Thursday evening, a delegation of YSRC MPs is meeting the Election Commission of India to lodge a complaint against the TDP.

The YSRC MPs are going to request the EC to disqualify the TDP as a political party, because of its attack on the chief minister, MLAs and MPs of the ruling party making abusive comments. They would provide videos of the TDP leaders abusing Jagan in filthy language and ask for de-recognition of the opposition party.

The YSRC leaders would also meet President of India Ramnath Kovind, besides other top leaders of the centre and explain in detail how the TDP was indulging in mudslinging against the ruling party.

They are going to tell the Delhi bosses that it was Chandrababu Naidu who was causing law and order problems in the state. They are planning to request that Naidu should be banned from politics permanently.
