YSRC meeting in Anantapur triggers rift in TDP!

The public meeting held by YSRC leaders at Anantapur as part of the “Samajika Nyaya Bheri” bus yatra has triggered an internal war among the leaders of the opposition Telugu Desam Party in the district.

The TDP in the combined Anantapur is already split into two groups – one led by former minister Palle Raghunath Reddy of Puttaparthy and another by JC family, comprising J C Diwakar Reddy, J C Prabhakar Reddy and his son J C Asmith Reddy.

For quite some time, both the groups have been indulging in verbal attacks on each other.

The JC family has been insisting that the TDP would survive in Puttaparthy only if Palle Raghunath Reddy was dropped from the in-charge post; and Palle says JC family has no business to interfere in his constituency.

Against this backdrop, the JC group came up with fresh allegations against Raghunath Reddy.

The TDP has alleged that the Jagan Mohan Reddy government gave strict instructions to all the private transporters and educational institutions not to provide any transport to the TDP workers to attend Mahanadu, the party’s biennial conclave held at Ongole.

But the same transport operators and educational institutions were forced to supply buses and other vehicles to the public meetings of YSRC leaders, who were taking out the bus yatra to highlight the government’s achievements.

The JC group has been circulating in the social media along with pictures that Palle Raghunath Reddy has provided his college buses to the YSRC leaders’ public meetings in Anantapur.

“Who is the real TDP leader? Is it JC, who shut down his transport operations incurring crores of rupees of loss just because cases were booked with regard to a few buses? Or Raghunath Reddy, who arranged his college buses for YSRCP meetings?” the JC group said in the post, tagging party president N Chandrababu Naidu.

The JC group went on to allege that Palle had prevented Prabhakar Reddy from coming to Puttaparthy and created a hue and cry when another leader Saikam Srinivas Reddy went to Mahanadu in his vehicles.

“Dear TDP workers? Have you seen your beloved leader supplying vehicles to the YSRC meetings?” he asked.

The JC group also pointed out that Raghunath Reddy had earlier met YSRC MLA from Tadipatri Kethireddy Pedda Reddy and even had lunch with him. The JC group also made this photograph viral in the social media.
