YSRC disassociates itself with NRI Venkatesh

The ruling YSRC party has distanced itself from a human trafficking case recently uncovered in Missouri, United States.

US authorities arrested three individuals, all hailing from Andhra Pradesh, on charges of abusing, assaulting, and enslaving a 20-year-old Telugu student.

Opposition parties in Andhra Pradesh claim that all three arrested individuals are leaders of the YSRC party. However, in a statement released on Saturday, the YSRC emphasized that NRI Sattaru Venkatesh Reddy, accused in the human trafficking case in the US, has no affiliation with the party.

The statement strongly condemned the incident, characterizing the actions of Sattaru Venkatesh Reddy as personal, and asserted that the law would take its course.

P. Ratnakar, the AP government representative in North America, also refuted the allegations, attributing the criticism to the Telugu Desam party's strategy to tarnish the YSRC government's image.

Ratnakar emphasized that YSRC is a law-abiding party and declared that if the accused is proven guilty, they would face punishment. He questioned whether the Telugu Desam party takes responsibility for the personal actions of its activists and supporters.

Dr. Vasudeva Reddy, Andhra Pradesh NRI Medical Affairs adviser, clarified that Sattaru Venkatesh Reddy, facing charges in the US, has no connection to the YSRC.

He criticized certain channels, along with the Telugu Desam party, for attempting to associate unrelated wrongdoings with the YSRC whenever such incidents come to light globally.
