YS Jagan's Attack On Eenadu's Financial Empire?

YS Jagan's Attack On Eenadu's Financial Empire?

YS Rajasekhara Reddy used to express concerns about Eenadu, pointing out that the daily verbally attacked his government.

However, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy takes a different approach, opting for action to counter the financial influence of Margadarsi Finance and Margadarsi Chits.

Margadarsi Chits is popular among middle and upper middle-class populations for providing higher interest rates compared to banks.

The government of AP issues a significant notice as a full-page advertisement in Sakshi and other print media. Notably, the same notice is not published in Eenadu, presumably due to the ongoing tensions between the two entities.

Previously, the YCP government used to give government advertisements to Eenadu as it had the highest circulation. However, after Eenadu declined the ads, citing delayed payment issues, the government shifted its focus to continuing to provide ads exclusively to Sakshi, which occupies the second position in terms of circulation.

Despite the full-page Ad in Sakshi aimed at creating concern among investors of Margadarsi, the public's response has been relatively quiet, indicating that people might perceive it as a political dispute between the ruling party and the opposition.

Media outlets generally portray this kind of moves by the government as an attack on the financial source of the media group. However, Ramoji Rao, the owner of Eenadu, never allowed his journalists from forming unions, which has made them less vocal about the matter.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy seems resolute in his efforts to disrupt the financial empire of Eenadu, and it appears that this confrontation will continue for the foreseeable future.
