Yellow Media Admits Naidu's Fault In Polavaram

The yellow media in Andhra Pradesh has finally admitted to the mistake of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu in the Polavaram Project.

In an attempt to provide security cover for Naidu, the yellow media had previously said that the damages to the diaphragm wall of the project could be repaired.

The ruling YSR Congress had accused the TDP chief of not properly constructing the diaphragm wall to protect the project.

Furthermore, the TDP regime, headed by Chandrababu Naidu, did not complete the lower and upper coffer dams to divert the flood flow of river Godavari.

As a result, all these incomplete and faulty works caused damage to the diaphragm wall, which halted further works on the project.

For the past three years, the TDP and its media had been denying the fault. However, with experts inspecting the project and giving their reports, the yellow media finally admitted to the mistake on Monday, but tried to justify it as a minor lapse.

They also went one step further and suggested that these minor damages could be repaired or corrected by constructing a parallel diaphragm wall.

Naidu dedicated Monday to reviewing the Polavaram project between 2014 and 2019, organizing several events at the project site, including tourism visits.

TDP leaders were contracted to offer lunch and snacks to the visitors to the project site, all at the cost of the government exchequer. However, the damages to the diaphragm wall are significant and key to the safety of the project.

It is on this diaphragm wall that the strength of the entire project depends, and it was damaged due to poor quality works during the TDP regime.
