Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday dismissed allegations made by Telangana Jagruthi president K Kavitha, who claimed he had conspired with former minister T Harish Rao to destabilise the family of former chief minister KCR.
Speaking at an event in Mahabubnagar, Revanth Reddy accused the BRS and Kavitha of indulging in corruption and backstabbing, remarking that they are “stabbing each other in the stomach while pretending to hug.”
“The BRS leaders are saying Revanth Reddy is behind Harish Rao and Santosh Kumar. Some are saying Revanth Reddy is supporting Kavitha. My appeal to them is simple: stop dragging my name into the BRS family crisis,” he said.
Revanth went on to add: “Back then, instead of allowing your own leaders to survive, you slapped false cases on them and threw them in jail. And now you are fighting among yourselves, stabbing each other in the stomach while embracing each other.”
According to the chief minister, there is no need for outsiders to destabilise KCR’s family.
“You will destroy each other. Disputes have erupted within your family itself over sharing corruption money,” he alleged.
He further warned: “Sin does not vanish easily. Those sins will chase you, and you will suffer the consequences. Some are saying one is standing behind another. But why would I stand behind such disgraceful people?”
Revanth Reddy reiterated that he has no interest in BRS family politics.
“People have already rejected BRS, which is like an expired currency note. Nature has its own way of punishing such corrupt political forces. BRS leaders committed big sins, and now they are facing the consequences,” he said.
