Welfare schemes won't stop, says Pawan

Welfare schemes won't stop, says Pawan

Jana Sena Party president and actor Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday allayed the apprehensions being raised by some sections that if the YSR Congress party led by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is defeated in the next elections, the ongoing welfare schemes would come to a halt.

“Please don’t be under the impression that the schemes would be stopped and welfare comes to a halt, if Jagan doesn’t come to power again in Andhra Pradesh in the next elections. No scheme will stop, but much better welfare schemes would be introduced,” Pawan Kalyan said, addressing a gathering after hoisting the national flag at the party office in Mangalagiri.

He said brand new welfare schemes would be implemented in the name of national leaders.

“We shall implement all the existing schemes in a better fashion. So, there is no worry,” he said.

Pawan Kalyan lashed out at the YSRC government for not responding to the genuine grievances of the poor people.

“During my recent Visakhapatnam tour, a 60-year-old woman from Relli community came to me and said her son was brutally murdered. Despite running from pillar to post and submitting representation to the government through Spandana programme,  she did not get any justice,” he said.

He wondered what was the point in continuing in power, when the government cannot hear the anguish of a mother.

“What is the use of wining 151 assembly seats and 22 MP seats?” he asked.

Pawan said many people from various sections including doctors, industrialists, traders and intellectuals had told him that they would leave Andhra Pradesh and go to safer places, if Jagan is voted to power again.

“There are no conditions for peaceful living in Andhra Pradesh,” he alleged.
