Viral Pic: Kamma-Reddy Partiality Of Eenadu

There is a prevalent sentiment on social media that suggests the majority of voters in Andhra Pradesh have developed an anti-Kamma stance, which had a detrimental impact on the TDP during the 2019 elections.

This perception is linked to the newspapers Eenadu and Andhra Jyothy, which are accused of publishing biased articles based on caste.

A viral image circulating today highlights Eenadu's alleged caste bias in their headlines.

For instance, when Jagan Mohan Reddy was arrested back in 2012, Eenadu featured a cover story with the headline "Muddayi Number-1 Arrest" (Convict Number-1 Arrested). However, when Chandrababu was arrested recently, Eenadu's headline read "Arachaka Arrest" (Anarchic Arrest).

Social media has become a platform for exposing various issues, including the perceived caste-based partiality of these newspapers. Such viral images intensify negativity towards the TDP among other castes.
