Vamsi Stakes Claim On Gannavaram YSRC

Gannavaram legislator Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan, who got elected on the TDP ticket in 2019 elections but defected to the YSRCP within no time, wants to assert his position in the YSRC.

Vamsi is now claiming that he is the in-charge of YSRC in Gannavaram constituency in the capacity of the MLA.

“I am the MLA and also the party in-charge of Gannavaram. This is my constituency,” he said.

Apparently, Vamsi had to make this statement in the wake of the recent comments made by his rival within the YSRC Dutta Ramachandra Rao that there was no question of tolerating the new comers like Vamsi dominate the party in the constituency.

“We have been shouldering the responsibility of strengthening the YSRC in Gannavaram right from the beginning. The new comers have to follow the seniors and should not try to take control over the party and do injustice to the loyalists,” Dutta said.

Dutta is understood to have put forth the demand before the party to make him in-charge of the YSRC in Gannavaram so that he would get the party ticket in the next elections or the by-elections necessitated with the resignation of Vamsi, if it happens.

Similarly, another senior YSRC leader Yarlagadda Venkat Rao who had lost to Vamsi in the last elections is also not happy with the Gannavaram MLA trying to dominate the YSRC in the constituency. He also reportedly conveyed his feelings to the high command.

Vamsi, however, said he had no differences with either Dutta or Yarlagadda.

“I am ready to work with both of them in the party. I don’t have any ego problems or objections. Even if somebody without slippers comes to me, I will entertain him with a cup of coffee and get his work done,” he said.
