Sundeep Kishan's film "Ooru Peru Bhairavakona" hit theaters last weekend amid significant anticipation.

With positive pre-release buzz and confident producers, hopes were high for a strong opening. One particular song from the film went viral, adding to the excitement.

Despite Sundeep Kishan's previous lack of success as a leading actor, distributors anticipated a robust debut weekend.

While the film performed better in the domestic Indian market compared to previous releases, the overall gross was lower.

A silver lining for Sundeep Kishan is that "Ooru Peru Bhairavakona" emerged as his highest-grossing movie in the United States, raking in a quarter million dollars during its opening weekend.

However, the landscape of the Telugu film industry in the United States has evolved rapidly, and a $200 to $250k opening weekend is now considered subpar in this transformed environment.

In contrast, Ravi Teja's film "Eagle" experienced a dismal performance at the box office, showing no growth during its second weekend. The film managed to gross a mere $15k in its second weekend, resulting in a total of $351k.

Interestingly, even Ravi Teja's previous film "Tiger Nageswara Rao," which also fared poorly, outperformed "Eagle" in terms of earnings.
