TTD Chief BR Naidu as 'Inefficient and Ineffective'

Even as Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) chairman B R Naidu marked his first year in office on Wednesday, claiming to have introduced major reforms in temple administration, his predecessor and YSR Congress Party leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy dismissed his performance as “inefficient” and “a total failure.”

Bhumana accused Naidu of failing to manage temple affairs effectively, alleging that his lack of understanding of AI-based systems had worsened crowd management issues.

He also claimed that darshan tickets were being sold on the black market and that Naidu had lost control over temple operations, allowing several irregularities to occur at Tirumala.

“Naidu’s one year as TTD chairman has been filled with mishaps, indifference, and internal settlements,” Bhumana remarked, adding that despite tall claims of completing darshan within two hours, the situation on the ground proved otherwise.

He further alleged that Naidu relied more on publicity than on administrative efficiency.

Bhumana also pointed out that Naidu’s claims about scrapping the Srivani Trust were false, as the decision was later reversed and misleading statements were being made about the collections.

Additionally, he noted that the TTD Board has no authority to appoint Vice-Chancellors and raised concerns about alleged irregularities in the transfers of Assistant Executive Officers.
