Jana Sena Party disowns senior leader Bolishetty

The Jana Sena Party headed by deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan has issued a key clarification regarding senior leader Bolisetti Satyanarayana, stating that he no longer has any organisational association with the party following recent developments over his resignation from party responsibilities.

The clarification comes after confusion and speculation on social media over whether Bolisetti had resigned merely from his party posts or from the party itself.

He had earlier announced his resignation from party positions, as he was fighting a case of environmental violation in his individual capacity.

At the time, he said he had taken the decision to ensure that neither the Jana Sena Party nor Pawan Kalyan faced any difficulty in connection with a petition he had filed in the high court.

He clarified that he had only stepped down from party posts and was still with the party.

However, the Jana Sena Party has now officially stated that Bolisetti Satyanarayana has no organisational connection with the party.

In a press note, the party said Bolisetti had chosen to step away from responsibilities in order to pursue his personal ideological commitments, and that party president Pawan Kalyan had accepted his decision.

The party also clarified that any activities undertaken by Bolisetti hereafter would be his personal initiatives and should not be linked to Jana Sena. This official statement appears to mark a firmer separation than what had earlier been conveyed publicly.

Soon after the party’s clarification, Bolisetti released a fresh statement on social media, thanking Pawan Kalyan for relieving him of party responsibilities and reiterating his desire to work more actively on environmental protection and human rights issues at the state and national levels.

He added that while he may be distant from the party in organisational terms, he hoped that their ideological association would continue.

Bolisetti said he intended to continue working on what he described as a development path centred on environmental protection.

He expressed hope that Pawan Kalyan, who is associated with environmental governance in the government, would take a more proactive role in addressing such concerns.
