TDP-YSRC leaders: Who is in touch with whom?

As the political climate in Andhra Pradesh is heating up with all intensity as the YSR Congress government is nearing completion of its three years.

The challenges and counter-challenges between the YSRC and the Telugu Desam Party are intensifying with every passing day.

On Monday, former minister and YSRC leader P Anil Kumar Yadav threw a challenge to TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh to protect the TDP leaders in the coming days.

He said some TDP leaders from Nellore district had been in touch with the YSRC MLAs and had secret understanding with the latter.

“Does Lokesh have the guts to suspend these leaders? That is the state of affairs in the TDP in Nellore. It’s pity that they are still commenting against the YSRC,” Anil said.

Describing Lokesh as Pappu of Andhra Pradesh, the former minister said he had no stature to criticise the YSRC government and the ministers.

“He has no common sense. The TDP has been completely buried in Nellore and rest of the state. The TDP leaders are doing behind the screen politics. I can prove their collusive politics. Can Lokesh accept my challenge?” he asked.

Reacting strongly to Anil’s comments, senior TDP leader and former minister Kaluva Srinivasulu said it was the YSRC leaders who were in touch with the TDP, as they were frustrated with the YSRC leadership.

“In Nellore alone, three MLAs and an MP are in touch with us. They include one MLA who regularly talks to you and another MLA, who abuses you and your party openly. If you have guts, you tell your Jagan Reddy and get them suspended,” Srinivasulu said.
