The TDP had been very rude and even uncharitable towards AP DGP Gautham Sawang till the day he was shifted from the post.
The TDP made several allegations against Sawang and Chandrababu Naidu had even accused Sawang and Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy of having Christian links.
The TDP leaders Right from Chandrababu Naidu to his son Lokesh to the party spokespersons accused Sawang of being slave to the chief minister and not as an officer.
But, once Sawang is shifted from the post, the TDP leaders have started shedding crocodile tears and are expressing unwanted sympathies as if injustice was done to Sawang.
The TDP leaders and its pro-media had been campaigning that injustice was done to Sawang by shifting him from the DGP post unceremoniously.
The fact is that Chandrababu Naidu had shifted four DGPs during his tenure between 2014 and 2019, while this was the first transfer by Jagan Mohan Reddy in three years in office.
Besides blaming the DGP, the TDP had also accused the state police machinery of being slaves to the chief minister.
Now, the same TDP says that the police have become victims and their loyalty to the government had become a curse to the entire department.
This is what the TDP does every time to suit to their political interests. The TDP leaders like Chandrababu Naidu change colours frequently and change their policies too unmindful of the peoples’ memory.
In other words, the TDP has very low image or respect towards peoples’ memory and they speak according to their convenience and connivance.
