TDP leaders attack doctor at Kadiri hospital

Tension prevailed in Kadiri government hospital after Telugu Desam Party leaders brutally attacked a doctor and medical staff.

The shocking incident, captured on CCTV and now viral on social media, has raised serious concerns about safety in hospitals.

According to a YSR Congress party report, the trouble began near a belt shop in Kutagulla village of Kadiri mandal, where a clash broke out. The injured person was shifted to Kadiri government hospital for treatment.

“However, a group of TDP leaders later arrived at the hospital, reportedly to attack again. When medical staff tried to stop them, they were assaulted mercilessly,” a YSRCP statement said.

Doctors and staff staged a protest by boycotting duties, condemning the violent attack. They demanded strict action against those responsible and said that such incidents cannot be tolerated in a place meant for healing and service.

The hospital management and local citizens have also urged authorities to ensure the safety of doctors and healthcare workers, stressing that political hooliganism inside hospitals should be dealt with firmly, the YSRCP statement said.
