With the Central Bureau of Investigation beginning to tighten its noose around the suspects in the murder of former MP Y S Vivekananda Reddy three years ago, the Telugu Desam Party also has stepped up its offensive against the YSR Congress party led by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The TDP has brought out a 18-page booklet in Telugu on “Who killed Babai,” explaining how Viveka was killed and who were all the suspects behind the murder.
The booklet also sought to highlight how the YSRC used its media house Sakshi to project the murder as a heart attack first and when it was proved that it was a murder, how the same media shifted the blame to the TDP by carrying reports like “Narasura Raktha Charitra.”
The booklet gave a detailed account of how senior YSRC leaders including V Vijay Sai Reddy capitalised on the murder in the elections by throwing the blame on Naidu.
It has also mentioned the points from the CBI charge sheet and the depositions of various witnesses and complainants including Viveka’s daughter Sunitha indicating the alleged role of the YSRC leaders in the murder.
“The murder of Vivekananda Reddy is no longer a mystery following the latest statements being recorded by the CBI. The whole drama played by the ruling YSRCP to leaders got badly exposed now in front the people of the State,” TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh said in a statement.
It remains to be seen how the YSRC would react to the latest attack by the TDP.
