Surprise influx of leaders into YSRCP!

At a time when there had been a steady defection of disgruntled leaders from YSR Congress party into the opposition in Andhra Pradesh for the last few days, the party has started witnessing sudden influx of leaders back into the YSRCP.

While Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy has taken the lead in “home coming” by meeting party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at Tadepalli on Tuesday, several others followed suit in a span of a few hours.

Former Nuzveed MLA Mudraboyina Venkateshwara Rao, who was hoping for the TDP ticket this time, was shocked when party president N Chandrababu Naidu preferred K Parthasarathy for the seat. He defected to the YSRCP in the presence of the chief minister.

Former Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president and ex-minister Sake Sailajanath also met Jagan and is all set to join the YSRCP.

According to party sources, even Narsaraopet MP Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu, who resigned from the party and Lok Sabha seat to join the TDP, is also likely to return to the YSRCP.

Similarly, senior TDP leader and former Machilipatnam MP Konakalla Narayana is also looking towards joining YSRCP.

Another prominent leader and former MLA from Panyam Gouru Charita and her husband Gouru Venkat Reddy are also going to join the YSRCP. So will be former Rayachoti MLA Reddeppa Ramesh Reddy.

Senior TDP leaders – Sainath Sharma from Kamalapuram and Redyam Venkata Subbareddy from Maidukuru – are also expected to join the ruling party soon, party sources said.
