Bengaluru, Hyderabad Dominate India's Growth

Bengaluru, Hyderabad Dominate India's Growth

India’s urban growth story is now clearly centred around just two cities; Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

As per data shared at the Indiaspora Global AI Summit 2026, these two tech hubs together contributed a massive 53% of all Grade A office space added across India’s top cities in the last five years.

This clearly shows where real economic activity is shifting.

For global companies, startups, and AI firms, the choice is becoming predictable; Bengaluru for scale and talent, Hyderabad for speed and infrastructure. Both cities are attracting the bulk of investments, jobs, and commercial expansion.

This is not just about real estate. It signals a bigger shift in jobs, migration, and future growth.

With the AI boom picking up, both cities are expected to grow even faster, strengthening their hold on India’s urban economy.

At the same time, this raises a key question — are other cities falling behind?

For now, one thing is clear: Bengaluru and Hyderabad are no longer just tech hubs; they are India’s growth engines.
