YSR Congress party MLA from Nagari, actress and anchor R K Roja might be a loud-mouth politician known for her pungent comments against her political rivals, but many a time, she has proved that she is very kind at heart.
On Wednesday, Roja, presently chairperson of AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, once showed her magnanimity towards doctors, paramedical staff, police and sanitary workers who had been relentlessly working round the clock to contain the spread of Coronavirus in the state.
At her constituency Nagari, the actress-turned-MLA set up a community kitchen to provide lunch for all these sections who have been striving to keep Coronavirus at bay.
She is personally involved in cooking of rice and vegetables. She is even cutting vegetables for the lunch.
Volunteers of Roja Charitable Trust are serving lunch for doctors, nurses, other medical professionals, besides police people and sanitary workers. Roja herself served lunch for the police personnel on Wednesday.
Not only that, Roja thanked the police for striving day and night to enforce lockdown in the state, even by sacrificing their own family life.
“It is my fortune that I am able to serve food for these great policemen who are serving the people braving scorching sun. It is our responsibility to cooperate with them and see that the lockdown is implemented properly,” she said.
