Red Alert By YS Jagan In YCP Ticket Allocation

Red Alert By YS Jagan In YCP Ticket Allocation

Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is gearing up for a political maneuver in Andhra Pradesh, looking at the election result in Telangana State.

Now the allocation of tickets for 50 sitting MLAs is shrouded in uncertainty in Andhra Pradesh.

Jagan has been put on high alert following the Telangana election results.

The strategy now involves scouting for winning candidates in constituencies marked by public opposition. The YCP chief is set to reject candidates with lingering doubts.

In Telangana, the Congress ascended to power, with one of the key factors in the BRS's loss being giving tickets to majority of sitting MLAs though they have been facing negative feedback from the people of respective constituencies.

Similar to KCR's approach in 2018, where tickets were predominantly allocated to incumbents, analysts believe this strategy has backfired for the ruling party in 2023 election.

Aware of the potential consequences, CM Jagan is taking cautious steps to avert a similar fate, strategically distributing tickets to sitting MLAs considering public disapproval.

The intention appears to be a straightforward approach in ticket distribution, influenced by the recent outcomes in Telangana.

Reports indicate that over 50 YCP MLAs may not get the tickets this time, signaling a significant shift in the party dynamics.
