Rayadurgam MLA quits YSRCP, fumes at Jagan

Yet another disgruntled MLA – Kapu Ramachandra Reddy representing Rayadurgam assembly constituency in Anantapur district, resigned from the party in protest against the party’s decision to deny him ticket in the upcoming assembly elections.

Reddy, who came to Tadepalli on Friday morning to meet party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, was made to wait till evening. Finally, YSRCP general secretary Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy came out and told him that he won’t be given the ticket.

“I was told I am being denied the ticket because the surveys indicated that I will be losing the elections. This is atrocious and humiliating. Though I have been loyal to the party for over a decade, Jagan ditched me and ruined my life,” Ramachandra Reddy lamented.

He announced that he would contest from Rayadurgam either as an independent or on behalf of any other party that gives him an opportunity. “My wife will also contest from Kalyanadurgam constituency,” he declared.

Ramachandra Reddy said he had been a trusted soldier of the party all these years and had not spoken to any other party till now. “If you enter my house, you will find only Jagan Mohan Reddy pictures. I thought he is my god, but now, he betrayed us,” he said.
