Raju sees Jagan conspiracy behind CBI case!

It has become fashion for the political party leaders to accuse the rivals of conspiring against them whenever there are allegations of corruption against them.

Rebel YSR Congress party MP from Narasapuram K Raghurama Krishnam Raju has done exactly that.

Within hours of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registering a criminal case against him in connection with the alleged cheating of consortium of banks to the tune of Rs 237.84 crore, Raju alleged that the case was nothing but a conspiracy by the YSRC government in Andhra Pradesh.

Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, the YSRC MP said his party leaders had brought force in the State Bank of India authorities in Chennai to lodge a case against him.

He demanded that the CBI should also disclose the data of the telephone calls between the Andhra Pradesh chief minister’s office and the SBI authorities in Chennai.

“It is surprising that the CBI, which has not been pursuing cases against chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in connection with the quid pro quo cases pending against him despite filing charge sheets, has acted so quick against me,” he said.

He said the FIR lodged against him by the CBI was fabricated without any facts. He, however, said he would fully cooperate with the CBI in the investigation and would come out clean in the case.

The case was registered under Section 120 (b) (criminal conspiracy), 420 (cheating), 467 (forgery of documents), 468 (forgery of electronic record) and 471 (using forged documents for criminal purposes) of Indian Penal Code, following a complaint lodged by State Bank of India, Chennai.

According to the FIR, Raju and others had allegedly diverted funds, manipulated books of accounts to defraud the consortium of banks, comprising Axis Bank, SBI, Indian Overseas Bank, UCO Bank, Syndicate Bank, Bank of India, Punjab National Bank and ILFS Financial Services Ltd.
