Raghurama Wants AP, TS CMs Meet On Water Dispute

Narasapuram MP, K Raghurama Krishnam Raju, wrote a letter to Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to hold a meeting with his Telangana State counterpart on Krishna water dispute.

The MP wanted a joint meeting of the chief ministers of the two states along with officials to resolve the dispute and establish peace among the people of the two states.

He said that Jagan Mohan Reddy was well aware of the problem and the solution and felt that a high-level meeting between the two chief ministers would end the stalemate.

The MP found fault with Jagan Mohan Reddy writing to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking his intervention to solve the problem between the two states.

What the Prime Minister could do in this is known to everyone and Jagan Mohan Reddy is aware of it, he said.

Raghurama regretted that the two Telugu states have locked horns over sharing of river water and that is causing heartburn for the Telugu-speaking people.

He said that the people of the two states are not approving the attitude of the two chief ministers in the water disputes.

The MP wanted the two chief ministers to sit across the table and resolve the issues before the tussle turns ugly.
