Raghurama Raju has no faith in CBI court?

It appears rebel YSR Congress party MP from Narasapuram parliamentary constituency K Raghurama Krishnam Raju has no faith in the special court for Central Bureau of Investigation cases, which is hearing a petitioned filed by him in April.

Raju filed the petition seeking cancellation of bails of YSRC president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and party MP V Vijay Sai Reddy in the quid pro quo case being investigated by the CBI. After prolonged hearing, the CBI court reserved its judgement to September 15.

Even as the CBI court is getting ready to give its verdict on the bail cancellation of petition in another 24 hours, Raju quickly moved the Telangana state high court requesting that the petition be shifted to another criminal court in Hyderabad or other parts of Telangana.

He said the report published in Sakshi media, owned by Jagan Mohan Reddy, that the CBI court dismissed the bail cancellation petition, had given rise to the apprehension that the judgement might have been leaked to Sakshi.

He had already filed a contempt of court petition in the CBI court accusing the Sakshi media house for jumping to the conclusion even before the completion of hearing.

The media house clarified in its counter that it was a mistake committed by one of the employees and that the published news was immediately removed from the website and social media.

But Raju said the publication of the news raised suspicion over the outcome of the case and hence, the CBI court should be stopped from delivering its judgement on Wednesday. Raju appealed to the high court to transfer the case to another criminal court.

It would mean the rebel MP wants the case to go back to square one and if it is taken up by another court, the entire hearing has to start all over again.
