After a long time Daggubati Purandeswari fondly called Chinnamma has got a good place in BJP as the National General secretary.
This is the grand recognition for her after 6 years of joining the party.
On the other hand in the year 2019 she couldn't even get the deposits when contested as BJP candidate from Visakhapatnam.
But earlier in 2009 she got thumping majority when contested with the encouragement of YS Rajasekhara Reddy from Visakhapatnam. She was also a Central Minister eventually.
So by placing Chinnamma in such big position, the target of BJP seems to be developing big hold on Visakha and Northern Andhra.
We have to see how the politics around the new capital of Andhra Pradesh will take shape.
