Pawan votes, not for himself but for Lokesh!

Jana Sena Party president and power star Pawan Kalyan exercised his franchise, surprisingly not for himself, but for Nara Lokesh, general secretary of his alliance partner Telugu Desam Party.

Lokesh, who is contesting the assembly elections from Pithapuram assembly constituency from Kakinada district, has failed to get his vote enrolled in his own constituency, as he has registered his vote in Mangalagiri constituency.

All that he had to do was to get his vote transferred from Mangalagiri to Pithapuram. It is a very small task which could have been done by his team, if not himself. But he has apparently ignored this same.

As a result, Pawan Kalyan landed in a position where he could not vote for himself in Pithapuram. Instead, he had to vote for TDP leader Lokesh in Mangalagiri. This is rather an embarrassment for the Jana Sena chief.

Maybe, Pawan Kalyan did not make an attempt to transfer his vote to Pithapuram, because he could not take a decision from where he would contest till the last moment.

There was a talk that he would contest again from Bhimavaram or might move to Tirupati, but finally, he chose Pithapuram. Because of this uncertainty over his constituency till the eleventh hour, Pawan did not decide on the transfer of vote, sources said.

For that matter, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, too, could not vote for himself in Kuppam. In fact, he never voted for himself in Kuppam, as his vote was originally in Naravaripalli in Chandragiri constituency and later, he got it transferred to Undavalli.

This time, too, he and his family members cast their vote in Undavalli, which falls under Tadikonda assembly constituency. But at least, he can vote for his own party, unlike Pawan Kalyan who had to vote for other party, rather than Jana Sena!

Interestingly, Pawan Kalyan came down to Mangalagiri along with his third wife Anna Lezhnova, apparently to silence the YSRCP leaders, including party president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, who were talking about his fourth marriage.

Both of them exercised their franchise to send a message that they are still together happily!
