As power star and Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan is all set to embark on his Vaarahi Yatra in Visakhapatnam from Thursday, the YSR Congress party leaders from north Andhra have stepped up the attack on him, questioning his credentials to tour the port city.
Leading the attack from the front, state industries minister Gudivada Amarnath from Anakapalli described Pawan Kalyan’s tour in Visakhapatnam as “Vaarahi Web Series-3” and demanded the actor to explain what injustice the Jagan government had done for the north Andhra.
He ridiculed that Pawan Kalyan doesn’t know who was who in his party in Visakhapatnam.
“Can he disclose the names of his party candidates in Visakhapatnam, if not in all the 175 assembly constituencies? Or at least, can he reveal who his party president is in Visakhapatnam?” he asked.
Stating that Pawan Kalyan doesn’t have a stand of his own on any issue, Amarnath said the actor would simply follow whatever the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu dictated to him.
“He says his party has an alliance with the BJP; yet, he did not make any effort to stop the attempts of the Centre to privatise Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. He has married the BJP but is co-living with the TDP,” the minister said.
He recalled that Pawan Kalyan had described the special package given to the state during the TDP regime as rotten laddu.
“But why is he silent now? Have the rotten laddus have become sweet after joining hands with the BJP?” he asked.
Amarnath wondered how Pawan Kalyan could not see problems during the TDP rule and on what issues he was now touring north Andhra.
“Why did Pawan Kalyan not welcome the decision to make Visakhapatnam as the executive capital? Was it because he was defeated in Gajuwaka?,” he asked, and said that the JSP president had no any right to tour north Andhra.
“Pawan Kalyan should apologize to the volunteers for humiliating them. He says he is son of a police constable but did not respond even when 40 policemen were injured recently. He should also clarify his stand to steel workers,” he stated.
