Paul provides comic relief to Telugu states

At a time when the people of the two Telugu states are fed up with the allegations and counter allegations, attacks and counter-attacks between the ruling and the opposition parties, maverick evangelist-cum-politician is providing the much needed comic relief to them.

Paul, who has been touring different parts of Andhra Pradesh, said the other day that it would be better if both the YSR Congress party headed by chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and Telugu Desam Party headed by former chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu merge their parties with his Praja Santhi Party.

On Tuesday, the evangelist made yet another interesting comment.

He promised to the people that if his Praja Shanti Party is voted to power in Andhra Pradesh, he would clear all the outstanding loans of the state.

“Andhra Pradesh is facing a Sri Lanka-like situation due to mounting debts. If the situation has to be averted and all loans are cleared, the people should vote Praja Shanti Party to power. I will repay all the loans,” he said.

The very next moment, Paul made a completely contradictory comment.

He said the next government in Telangana would be that of Praja Shanti Party and he was going to become the next chief minister of Telangana.

“I am going to contest as an MLA in Telangana this time,” he said.

One wonders how he can clear the debts of Andhra Pradesh if he becomes the Telangana chief minister.

In the same breath, he advised that Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao should join hands with him for the prosperity of the two states.

Coming back to Andhra Pradesh, the evangelist lashed out at the YSR Congress party and Telugu Desam Party could not build a capital city despite spending thousands of crores.

“Both Jagan and Chandrababu Naidu had surrendered to BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.

Paul did not spare even Jana Sena Party chief Pawan Kalyan, too. He said Pawan Kayan had a lot of respect towards him.

“I gave him an offer at least 100 times, asking him to join Praja Shanti Party. But there was no response from him,” he lamented.
