Opinion: Ramoji Playing De-facto TDP Chief!

Eenadu Group chairman Cherukuri Ramoji Rao is now playing the de-facto president of the opposition TDP.

He is also playing the leader of opposition role in Andhra Pradesh, as if the actual leader of opposition, Chandrababu Naidu, had failed to deliver.

Ramoji Rao is coming up with anti-government, anti-YSR Congress and anti-Jagan Mohan Reddy reports in the front page of the Eenadu paper.

Ramoji Rao is fighting a political battle in Andhra Pradesh despite being on the wrong side of his age.

He is taking every risk to ensure that Jagan Mohan Reddy is defeated and Chandrababu Naidu is made the chief minister in the 2024 elections.

He seems to have realised that the TDP leadership and Chandrababu Naidu are no match to Jagan Mohan Reddy in reaching out to the people.

Hence, Ramoji Rao had taken the responsibility and fought for the TDP and Chandrababu Naidu.

Looking at the Eenadu paper every day, one is sure to get a feeling that Ramoji Rao had taken over the TDP leadership, keeping Chandrababu Naidu to the party office.

While Chandrababu Naidu is held up with the review meetings, Ramoji Rao is playing the real TDP president post.

It would be fitting if Jagan Mohan Reddy declares Ramoji Rao as the leader of opposition in the State and begins the battle against Ramoji Rao and his Eenadu.

With Ramoji Rao taking the centre-stage of the opposition politics, Chandrababu Naidu and the TDP have become insignificant in the state politics.

But what this 80-year-old Cherukuri Ramoji Rao should realize is that the social media is much stronger than the Eenadu and these are not 1982 and 1995 days!
