New branding for Sakshi, yellow replaces blue!

New branding for Sakshi, yellow replaces blue!

Sakshi media house, promoted by YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has undergone a total makeover – both in its logo and colour patten, as it completes 15 years of its inception.

Starting Friday, the rebranding version of Sakshi made its appearance. The yellow and red colours have been replaced by blue and white colours, associated with the ruling party.

Secondly, the logo has changed from that of a red-coloured globe with yellow-coloured continents to a symmetrical sphere with a square block at the centre. The changes have been made, apparently to give a new appeal to the people ahead of the elections.

The management of Sakshi gave an explanation for this rebranding.

“We made a beginning with a promise to bring about change and show the other side of the coin. We have assured you that we shall tell the truth fearlessly. We took a pledge that we shall stand by the people. We have travelled with the people for 15 long years,” it said.

It concluded: “Sakshi is the heartbeat of the common people. Now in new colours. 15 years of credibility, now with much improved experience.”
