Naidu decides to go into people once again!

Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, who has hitherto been confined to issuing statements, holding press conferences and conducting Zoom meetings, has now decided to go into the people.

According to party sources, Naidu was originally planning to take up district tours in the last quarter of the year and continue them till next year.

“Till now, he was busy making preparations for Mahanadu, the party’s biennial conclave to be held on May 27 and 28, where he is planning to rope in all the family members of Nandamuri family,” source said.

However, according to latest reports, Naidu might begin his district tours much before the conduct of Mahanadu. So, he will tour at least three districts, starting from May 4 and take part in various agitations against the Jagan Mohan Reddy government.

Apparently, the TDP chief has changed his mind following the chief minister’s plan to extensively tour all parts of the state to explain his government’s welfare programmes and launch an attack on the TDP.

In the name of launching the welfare schemes, Jagan has addressed a few public meetings in the recent past at Narsaraopet, Nandyal and Anakapalle in the recent past, where he launched a tirade against the TDP, asking the people to assess which government was better in terms of welfare.

So, Naidu, too, has decided to go into the people and increase his visibility among them in the name of various programmes such as fighting against increased power tariff, bus fares, power crisis, atrocities on women and various scams.

He would start his tour with Dalla Valasa village of Amdulavalasa in Srikakulam district on May 4, followed by Tallavalasa village of Bhimili assembly constituency on May 5 and Koringa village of Mummidivaram constituency in East Godavari district.

Apart from making a public appearance, Naidu’s presence is expected to give the much needed boost to the party cadres ahead of Mahanadu.

“The feedback obtained from these programmes will be discussed at the Mahanadu and it will generate some kind of enthusiasm in the party,” a party source said.
