'My Political Journey Ends in Guntur'

Senior YSRCP leader and former minister Ambati Rambabu made a significant statement, calling Guntur his “final political destination.”

Recently appointed as the party coordinator for Guntur West by Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, Ambati addressed YSRCP leaders and recalled his political journey.

He stated that his career began in Repalle, moved through Sattenapalli, and has now culminated in Guntur.

“I’m nearing 70, and I’ve reached the retirement phase of my political life,” he said, adding that Guntur would be his last active posting.

Ambati expressed that Jagan’s decision to field him from Guntur West was likely a gesture to give him one last opportunity.

He also recalled a humorous past incident involving YSRCP MLC Appireddy, who once avoided meeting him during their NSUI days — prompting laughter during the meeting.

He fondly remembered how both he and Appireddy grew through the ranks and eventually joined YSRCP together after their time in Congress.
