Lokesh to visit Dr Sudhakar's family on Sunday

TDP general secretary and MLC Nara Lokesh is scheduled to visit the bereaved family of Dr Sudhakar, who died of cardiac arrest on Saturday.

Lokesh would meet the bereaved family members at Visakhapatnam on Sunday and pay his respects to the departed soul.

Dr Sudhakar, a government doctor at Narsipatnam in north coastal Andhra hit the headlines in the first wave of Covid 19 in 2020.

He blamed the state government in hardest words for not supplying N95 masks for the hospital staff to treat the Covid 19 patients.

The government had suspended him then and was subsequently arrested by the police for creating nuisance on the roads in intoxicated condition.

The TDP had held the State government responsible for his death, while some of the Dalit organisations pointed an accusing finger at the government.

Continuing his tirade against the government, Lokesh is said to meet the bereaved family members of Dr Sudhakar.

Lokesh said that the state had lost an expert doctor due to the “fanatical mind-set” of chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The TDP general secretary regretted that the government had not made any corrective steps to handle Covid 19 despite the war waged by Dr Sudhakar.
