
Telugu Desam Party headed by chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has once again thrown peanuts before his alliance partners – Jana Sena Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party in the appointments to the nominated posts.
On Tuesday, Naidu filled up as many as 31 long-pending nominated posts at the state-level.
Out of these 31, the TDP leaders got the lion’s share of 25 posts, while the Jana Sena Party was given only three posts and the BJP just two. The remaining one post was given to the Bahujan JAC.
Selections were made according to community categories with OCs getting six posts, BCs 17, SCs four, ST – one and minorities: 2. Naidu also considered reegional balances while filling up the posts.
The posts that were given to the Jana Sena Party are: Guntasala Venkata Lakshmi from Denduluru as chairperson of Andhra Pradesh Vaddi Development Corporation, Sheik Riyaz as chairman of Ongole Urban Development Authority and Vampuru Gangulaiah from Paderu as chairman of Folk Arts and Creative Arts Academy.
The BJP got two posts – Dasari Srinivasulu from Tirupati as chairman of Hindu Dharma Parirakshana Trust and R D Wilson from Nellore as chairman of AP Telugu-Sanskrit Academy.
On the other hand, the TDP leaders were given the prime posts such as AP Scheduled Castes Cooperative Finance Corporation Ltd., AP State Social Welfare Board, Kamma Corporation, Brahmin Welfare Corporation, State Minimum Wages Board etc.
