Jagan's hair-plucking comment not against TDP?

The comment made by YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy at a public meeting in Nandyal that "they cannot pluck even a strand of his hair" was not aimed at Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu or his friendly media houses.

This was the observation made by senior TDP leader and Tadipatri municipal chairman J C Prabhakar Reddy.

“Everybody has misunderstood Jagan’s comments, thinking that he had targeted the opposition parties or pro-TDP voters. His comments were targeted at his own party MLAs,” Reddy told the reporters on Wednesday.

He said Jagan was referring to a possible revolt from within the YSRC MLAs on the cabinet expansion.

“He was indicating that he was revamping the cabinet and was giving cabinet berths to his loyalists. He was saying that those aspirants for ministerial berths cannot pluck even a strand of his hair, if they are denied berths,” JC said.

The Tadipatri municipal chairman, however, felt that Jagan should not have made such comments.

“But the occasion was wrong. It was a meeting for Vidya Deevena programme. He should not have made those comments before students and parents. In what way they are concerned with his hair?” he asked.

Reddy said Jagan should have told his MLAs after the swearing in ceremony that they cannot pluck his hair now, as he had already given berths to the MLAs of his choice.
