Jagan Sets Agenda For Party MPs

Chief Minister and YSR Congress president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday set the agenda for the party MPs to be followed in the budget session of Parliament starting on January 29.

Jagan Mohan Reddy held a meeting with the party MPs at his camp office. Most of the MPs from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha attended the meeting. However, Narasarapuram MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju was not invited.

Jagan Mohan Reddy gave a few tasks for the party MPs to be fulfilled during the current budget session.

The first task was getting notification from the President relocating AP High Court at Kurnool. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy himself had explained the need to shift the high court to Kurnool to Union Home Minister Amit Shah during their recent meeting in Delhi.

The second task was to get the railway zone inaugurated and its operations started from Visakhapatnam before March 31.

The zone was promised in the current financial year and a token of Rs 100 crore were allocated for the same. It was named as South Coastal Railway (SCoR) zone.

The other tasks that the chief minister had given to the party MPs were getting funds for Polavaram Project, getting revenue deficit cleared, getting arrears under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme paid, besides others.

The chief minister also had a brief talk with the party MPs about the impending by-election to the Tirupati Lok Sabha seat, which is yet to be notified.
