IT employees are typists? Vundavalli faces trolling

Former Congress MP from Rajahmundry and self-styled intellectual Vundavalli Arun Kumar is often known for his foot-in-the-mouth character.

Many times, he has made controversial comments on various issues, whether it is the Polavaram project or Amaravati capital, only to retract his statements later.

In the latest episode, Vundavalli made some nasty comments on software employees, many of whom came in support of Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu who has been jailed in an alleged skill development scam.

“What is software? It is nothing but typing. Many of these youth have opted for these typist posts. Particularly, most of the software employees from the South have bagged these typist jobs, because those in the north do not have much English language skills,” the former MP commented in an interview.

Naturally, Vundavalli’s comments created strong protests from the Information Technology employees.

“We thought Vundavalli is an intellectual. How can he say that software is nothing but typing? How can he talk like that?” they are asking.

Within no time, Vundavalli was subject to intense trolling on social media.

“Java is nothing but doing typing job after drinking “java” (pudding); Python means doing typing by keeping a python beside you. Is it right sir?” a netizen asked.

“It was shocking to see Vundavalli making a silly comment describing software as typing. But the funniest part is that even the female anchor said: “Yes sir, It is correct,” another follower pointed out.

“So, what do you say Vundavalli? You want to say that Bill Gates bought typing machines and made money by setting up typewriting institutes in several countries. That’s it, no?” asked another netizen.

One software employee described Vundavalli as “Mundavalli” and questioned his knowledge, another guy said: “Oh, Mr Pavu Kg Menthulu from Rajahmundry, software engineer means typewriter? All these days, we thought software is something to do with programming.”

Some IT employees are apparently hurt with Vundavalli comment and they have given a lengthy explanation about the value of software and how India has been dominating the software industry in the world.

Needless to say, many of these people who are trolling are the supporters of one political party and they must be waiting for an opportunity to attack Vundavalli!
