I Don't Wanna Follow You - Are Telugu Stars Egoistic?

Many Telugu superstars don’t like to follow fellow actors, friends and even family members on Twitter. Somehow, they don’t like to hit the follow button beside the star’s name.

While Bollywood superstars don’t have qualms to follow their counterparts, Telugu stars like to keep their ‘Following’ number to bare minimum if not zero.

Megastar Chiranjeevi is yet to follow anyone on Twitter. His followers count is reaching half a million, but the ‘super active’ social media user Chiranjeevi is following none.

Rising Star Vijay Deverakonda also follows none. Allu Arjun and Nagarnuna follow only our Prime Minister Modi and Tarak follows Rajamouli alone.

Charan who recently made a re-entry on Twitter is only following his Dad and Babai as of now. Pawan and Mahesh also used to be very selective of whom to follow. They have changed a bit and started following other accounts lately.

Venkatesh, who is known to be a non-egoistic star, is happily following others including Chiru and Charan who recently opened their Twitter accounts.

Interestingly, most of our top billed actors have good relations off screen that is evident at public events and private parties.

Wonder why our stars are reluctant to follow fellow actors on Twitter.

It is not that we say it is mandatory to follow each other, but fans will ‘feel good’ to see their matinee idols trying to connect with other stars on social media.
