Hold your tongue, Balayya warns Kodali

YSR Congress party leader from Gudivada and Andhra Pradesh civil supplies minister Kodali Venkateshwara Rao alias Nani shoots his mouth off at Telugu Desam Party and its president N Chandrababu Naidu almost every day.

But it is a known fact that Nani is a hardcore fan of Nandamuri family and treats former chief minister late N T Rama Rao as a god and he doesn’t utter a word against NTR’s sons or grandsons.

On Wednesday, however, Nani had to incur the wrath of NTR’s son, senior actor and TDP legislator from Hindupur Nandamuri Balakrishna. Reacting strongly to Nani’s outburst against the TDP, Balakrishna served a stern warning on the minister.

“It is better Nani holds his tongue and does not provoke us. He cannot talk whatever that comes to his mind. Don’t lose your tongue and test our patience,” Balayya said, speaking to reporters at Anantapur.

He warned Nani of dire consequences, if he continued to provoke the TDP leaders with vulgar comments.

“We are not people of just talk. If necessary, we will get into direct action. Be careful,” the senior actor threatened.

Balakrishna wondered how Nani could defend running of gambling clubs in Gudivada saying they would continue despite police raids. “How dare he can say that the gamblers will pay fine and continue their activity?” he asked.

The TDP legislator expressed concern over a series of attacks on Hindu temples in the state.

“It is barbaric. It is not just enough to condemn these incidents. The government should cut off the hands of those who indulged in such desecration of idols,” he said.
