Fresh demolition notices served on Sabbam Hari!

Former MP and Telugu Desam Party leader Sabbam Hari, whose illegal constructions in the encroached space of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation were demolished a month ago, was served fresh notices for further demolitions.

The GVMC authorities served notices on Sabbam Hari last night stating that he had constructed buildings in the reserved open space in the APSEB Cooperative Society layout in Survey No. 7 of Resapuvanipalem in Visakhapatnam.

While Sabbam was not there in his house when notices were served and his watchman refused to take the notices.

As a result, the authorities pasted the notice on the compound wall of his house stating that he should vacate and demolish the alleged illegal constructions within three days.

As per the masterplan of the GVMC, around 2,200 square yards of land in the cooperative society venture was marked as reserve open space. However, Sabbam Hari had constructed two buildings in this space, while two others also constructed one building each.

It may be recalled that the GVMC authorities had demolished bathroom and a servant quarter constructed by Sabbam Hari in 100 square yards of land which was part of the municipal park, adjacent to his house.

Meanwhile, Sabbam moved the high court seeking stoppage of demolition of his buildings in the APSEB layout and obtained stay till Monday.
