The political dynamics keeps changing in the Andhra Pradesh politics. Leaders of one party tend to display sudden love for the leaders of other party depending on the change in power politics.
Take the case of MLC Duvvada Srinivas, who was suspended from the YSR Congress party for his illicit relationship with a married woman Divvela Madhuri and his public display of their love affair.
After his suspension, Duvvada has been stirring the political waters in North Andhra with his controversial remarks.
On Wednesday, Duvvada came up with a statement, extending support for TDP MLA Kuna Ravi Kumar, who is facing allegations of harassment of a woman principal Soumya.
The suspensed YSRCP MLC alleged that the accusations against Ravi Kumar were part of a conspiracy orchestrated by state agriculture minister K Atchannaidu, in collusion with Dharmana brothers — Prasada Rao and Krishnadas. These remarks triggered a political storm.
Before the controversy could subside, Duvvada made another explosive statement, claiming that his suspension from the YSRCP was engineered by the Dharmana brothers in collusion with Atchannaidu, despite belonging to the same social community.
He clarified that his suspension was temporary and insisted that YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had nothing to do with it, reiterating his loyalty to the party.
He accused the Dharmana brothers of conspiring against him because they “could not tolerate his growing influence in Srikakulam district,” and even challenged them to have him expelled from the party if they could.
Turning his criticism toward Atchannaidu and his family, Duvvada accused them of supporting the privatization of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant and remaining silent on issues like captive mining, pointing to their “covert political deals” as evidence of betrayal of public interests.
