Do It In Films, Not In Assembly, Ambati Tells Balayya

Minister for Irrigation, Ambati Rambabu, made a statement in the Assembly on Thursday, saying, "Perform such actions in films, not in the Assembly."

The Minister directed these words towards TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna, who was part of a group of TDP MLAs protesting at the Speaker's podium during the first day of the monsoon session. They were protesting the arrest of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and demanding the admission of an adjournment motion in the Assembly for discussion.

After the Speaker rejected the adjournment motion, the TDP MLAs began shouting slogans against Naidu's arrest while gathered at the speaker's podium. At this point, Balakrishna touched his mustache, seemingly issuing a challenge to the ruling YSR Congress MLAs.

In response, Minister Rambabu advised Balakrishna to save such actions for the film industry and avoid them in the Assembly. He also cautioned the TDP MLAs not to disrupt proceedings and not to provoke members of the ruling party.

The Minister alleged that the TDP MLAs were attempting to create a disturbance and instructed security personnel to protect the Speaker. He suggested that the TDP MLAs adopt a different approach for discussing Chandrababu Naidu's arrest in the house.

Minister for Finance and Legislative Affairs, Buggana Rajendranath, reassured the Assembly that the ruling party was willing to engage in a discussion about Naidu's arrest.

He encouraged the TDP members to present their request for a debate in a different manner, emphasizing the importance of adhering to the rules of the house for any discussion or debate.
