Discarded YSRC leaders looking up to Jana Sena!

Disgruntled elements in the ruling YSR Congress party, who are being discarded by the party leadership for various reasons, have only two options to sustain their political career: to join either the Telugu Desam Party or the Jana Sena Party.

The TDP, being the strong opposition in the state for now, is in big demand for the discarded elements from the YSRCP.

But party president N Chandrababu Naidu, who is already struggling to satisfy his own party leaders in giving tickets for the upcoming elections, is not a position to afford the new comers from the YSRCP, unless they are very strong having hold in their constituencies.

So, many other YSRCP leaders, who have realised that they do not have any future in the party, are now looking up to Jana Sena Party headed by power star Pawan Kalyan, hoping that his party, which has entered into an alliance with the TDP, would make it big after the upcoming elections.

According to latest reports, YSRCP legislative council member from Visakhapatnam local bodies’ constituency Vamsi Krishna Srinivas is getting ready to join the Jana Sena Party.

He is likely to meet Pawan Kalyan, who is coming to Kakinada on Wednesday and formally join the party.

Vamsi Krishna Srinivas had won as a corporator in the past and expected to become Mayor of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation. But Jagan preferred Hari Kumari as the Mayor because of caste equations.

Last year, Jagan gave him an opportunity to grow in politics by making him an MLC from the local bodies’ constituency.

“However, he is disgruntled in the party as there is no chance for him to become an MLA. So, he has decided to jump the fence,” sources said.

State industries minister Gudivada Amarnath said it will be suicidal for Vamsi Krishna if he defected to the Jana Sena Party.

“I don’t have any immediate information about his defection. But if he does, it will ruin his political career,” the minister said.
