Delay In Sacking Raju May Damage YSRC!

It is now pretty evident that the YSR Congress party MP from Narasapuram K Raghurama Krishnam Raju has decided to call it quits to the party, but not before causing as much as damage to the party as possible.

The way Raju made unsavoury comments against the party, questioning its very name and status in his reply to the show-cause notice served on him by party general secretary V Vijay Sai Reddy clearly showed he has gone too far ahead.

On Friday, the Narasapuram MP went to Delhi to lodge a complaint against the party with Election Commission of India and home ministry.

He submitted a letter along with the show-cause notice given to him, alleging that the party was wrongly claiming its name as YSR Congress party, instead of Yuvaja Sramika Rythu Congress party.

One wonders why the YSRC leadership is hesitating to take action against Raju, who has gone to the extent of complaining to the Election Commission against the party.

In the show-cause notice, Sai Reddy gave him one-week time to reply, but Raju gave the reply within a day.

“When the reply clearly showed that Raju has resorted to gross indiscipline, why is party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy hesitating to take any action against the MP? Any delay in the action will send a wrong signal to the party leaders and cadre,” a YSRC leader said.

He said the longer Raju continued in the party, the more will be the damage to the party.

“It doesn’t make any difference to the party if one MP leaves. Let him join the BJP if he wants and it hardly matters to the party. But if he is allowed to go scot free without any action, it will trigger more such rebellion in the party,” the party leader observed.
