Chalasani Getting Closer To Naidu?

It appears Andhra Intellectuals Forum founder and presently chairman of Pratyeka Hoda Sadhana Samiti Chalasani Srinivas is getting closer to Telugu Desam Party headed by Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

According to highly placed sources, Naidu is understood to have sought the help of Chalasani to support the TDP in the coming elections, as it was fighting sincerely for the cause of special category status.

He reportedly told Chalasani that the special category status was possible only if the Congress-led alliance comes to power at the Centre and hence, he had taken a stand in favour of the Congress.

He also reportedly asked Chalasani to put up a strong fight against Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhar Rao who is trying to poke his nose in Andhra Pradesh politics by joining hands with the YSR Congress party.

He said if KCR is allowed to campaign in AP, it would be an insult to the people of Andhra Pradesh.

There is a talk that Naidu had promised that Chalasani would be given a prominent post, like for instance Rajya Sabha nomination, if he extends his support to the TDP.

For now, Chalasani has extended their support to the deeksha of CM N Chandrababu Naidu in New Delhi on February 11.

He told media that his organization would continue to protest against Modi government till the state bifurcation promises are fulfilled.

Chalasani also announced that his organization would hold a protest rally against PM Narendra Modi, during his visit to Guntur on Sunday.

He alleged that as there are no political benefits with AP, Modi is ignoring the state.
