The ruling YSR Congress is planning to sue the Eenadu paper for its wrong reporting on Gannavaram incident.
Sources say that both the government and the ruling party too are planning to file a case in the court besides taking the issue to the Press Council.
Minister for Irrigation, Ambati Rambabu, said that Eenadu had reported a fake story and photos on the front page.
When the wrong report was exposed in the social media, Eenadu withdrew the photos from the online edition and expressed regrets attributing it as technical mistake.
He said the error was reported in the second page while the wrong report was published on the front page.
Ambati wanted the Eenadu group to tender apology on the front page by tomorrow or else the government would file a defamatory case.
He said that the wrong reporting style Eenadu was exposed and attributed it to the political conspiracy to make Chandrababu Naidu as the chief minister.
Perhaps Jagan Mohan Reddy and his party leaders must be thinking that it is the right time for them to contain Eenadu and keep a check on its politically-motivated journalism.
It is to be seen what steps that the ruling party would take in this matter and how Cherukuri Ramoji Rao would face them.
