Balineni falls in line, but to confine to Ongole!

At last, former minister and senior YSR Congress party MLA from Ongole Balineni Srinivas Reddy has fallen in line with the decision of party president and chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy with regard to party candidate for Ongole Lok Sabha seat.

Apparently, Jagan has asked Balineni to decide whether he would like to continue in the party by accepting the party decision or get out of it.

Since he has no other option, the former minister agreed to keep quiet on the Ongole parliamentary seat, which is likely to be given to Chandragiri MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy.

Coming out of the Tadepalli camp office, Balineni looked frustrated with the high command for not accepting his recommendation for giving the party ticket to Magunta Srinivas Reddy from Ongole LS constituency.

He reportedly told the party leaders that he would confine himself to Ongole assembly seat and will keep away from the electioneering in parliamentary constituency.

“I shall concentrate on winning my assembly seat and am least bothered about who will contest for the Lok Sabha seat,” Balineni told reporters at Ongole later.

He said his whole fight was to see that a man of stature will get the party ticket for Ongole Lok Sabha seat, apart from distribution of house sites for 25,000 poor people in his constituency.

“I was trying to help the party in entire parliamentary constituency, so that it will help the party candidates in all the other assembly constituencies. When they are not bothered about MP candidate, why should I? I shall do whatever the high command tells me as far as my constituency is concerned,” Balineni said.

He denied the reports that he was changing the party.

“Why should I? I can win my own seat. That is more important for me. I am not bothered about the Lok Sabha seat now,” he asserted.
