AP Govt Employees Withdraw Strike

AP Govt Employees Withdraw Strike

Andhra Pradesh government employees withdrew their strike plan, which is originally scheduled to start on the mid-night of February 6.

The employees announced the withdrawal of the agitation after their talks with the ministers and the officials which held continuously for the past 24 hours.

They came 40 minutes late before the media as chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy held a virtual talk with them before both the parties came for an understanding.

Government advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy announced the government’s point of view on the issues, while the employees’ representatives spoke thanking the chief minister and announcing the withdrawal of the agitation.

The employees tendered an unconditional apology for what some of the employees made derogatory remarks against the chief minister and others from the government side.

The employees looked satisfied with the government’s proposals and thanked all the ministers, officials besides the chief minister.

But, what is doing rounds in the social media is that the teachers are not happy with the outcome of the talks with the government and they have reportedly boycotted the joint press conference held late in the night.

The teachers are now guided by the CPM affiliated union, which is looking for politics rather than the issues.

It is to be seen how the teachers would end this row with the government as others have accepted the government’s proposals.
