AP Govt Allocates Space For Offices In Visakha

The state government issued a Government Order (GO) on Thursday, identifying and allocating accommodations for government offices in Visakhapatnam.

Officials submitted a proposal to the state government outlining the available government buildings in Visakhapatnam, as well as identifying some private buildings in the city. Based on this, the government issued orders on Thursday, allocating space for each government office.

The allocated space was distributed among senior officials and subordinate staff in the available accommodations.

A couple of weeks ago, the state government issued orders stating that officials must relocate to Visakhapatnam.

The directive mentioned that Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, along with other ministers and senior officials, would need to stay in Visakhapatnam to oversee welfare and developmental works in the north Andhra region.

Accordingly, officials identified both government and private buildings to accommodate senior officials, ministers, and subordinate officials.

The government designated space for ministers and senior officials at the Rishi Konda Millennium Towers. The chief minister was allocated Tower A, while ministers were assigned Tower B, with approximately 1.75 lakh square feet of available space in the millennium towers.

Several other departments were instructed to use private buildings. Officials were also directed to be prepared to move to Visakhapatnam whenever the chief minister visits the city and camps there.

Additionally, officials were informed that ministers would also visit the city and camp there to monitor welfare and developmental programs in the region.
