AP Covid-19: Reducing Mortality Rate To 1%

Covid-19 control measures have been taken by the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister more stringently than the other states.

More and more tests are being performed every day and the positive count has been declared openly without maintaining any secrecy.

Many may ask what is the use of declaring the growing numbers when the neighboring states are not doing so. Some may also quip that it will take nowhere than affecting the economy in a detrimental way.

But the Chief Minister's intention is different and that is shared by the Union Health Minister as well.

Dr Harsh Vardhan, the Union Health Minister has today tweeted- "Today, I spoke to #AndhraPradesh CM YS Jagan ji reg sudden spurt in their #COVID19 cases. He said focus is on massive scaling up of testing, with 22,000 daily tests. Early diagnosis & treatment is aimed at pushing #MortalityRate from present 1.17% to below 1%".

It is needless to say that the mortality rate has been coming down from time to time due to early diagnosis with forced tests.

Health Minister has also tweeted in continuation- "Infrastructure has been scaled up majorly with an availability of 64,000 beds for #coronavirus patients which incl availability from dedicated #Covid hospitals, health facilities & care centres.Relief that recovered cases at 17,467 exceed active cases at 15,144".
